If your kids are anything like mine, they haven’t let you forget that The LEGO Movie is coming to theaters this Friday, February 7, 2014. Of course we will be heading to the theater to see it this weekend…and probably a few more times as well.

The LEGO Movie was directed by Phil Loard and Christopher Miller (the minds behind “21 Jump Street” and “Cloundy with a Chance of Meatballs”) and stars Chris Pratt, Will Farrell, Elizabeth banks, Will Arnet, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie and Charlie Day, with Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.

The storyline of The LEGO Movie follows Emmet the Lego minifigure who is mistakenly identified as a superhero who has the key to saving the world. President Business, aka Lord Business, is an uptight CEO who has a hard time balancing world domination with micro-managing his own life. Then there’s his henchman, Bad Cop/Good Cop, who will stop at nothing to catch Emmet.

Emmet’s rebel crew includes the ancient mystic Vitruvius, tough-as-nails Wyldstyle, who mistakes Emmet for the savior of the world and guides him on his quest. The mysterious Batman, and Wyldstyle’s boyfriend, loves to show off his LEGO Batwing and adds a hilarious element to the film by being a self-absorbed superhero. Follow Emmet as he goes on his epic quest to stop the evil tyrant and see him grow into the special that everyone thinks he is.

Our friend and boy mom Jenny took her rockin’ boys Noah and Zane to The LEGO Movie screening this past weekend. They were super excited to get to see the movie a little early. Aren’t these boys and mama adorable.

They even brought their own LEGO Head to fill with popcorn to make The LEGO Movie experience a little more Legotastic. They said the movie was AWESOME and great for the kids and adults.

It looks like the boys give the movie two thumbs up! Of course they did…anything Legos rock.
