Sometimes you just have to get out of the house and go to Target. There is something about Target that washes away your worries and cares. The boys and I often do this…especially after school, when it’s too hot to go to the park or when we are bored. Maybe because it’s across the street or that I secretly want to buy everything I see there, but nonetheless we always enjoy our time there.
Of course, a stop to look at the toys, video games and Legos is always a number one priority of the boys. It is fun to see them check out all the toys on their wish lists. Sometimes they bring the money they have earned and carefully calculate if they want to spend it or not. We ALWAYS go down all the lanes in the same order each time. First we look at everything mommy wants to see. Gotta bribe the boys to have good behavior if they want to look at the toys! When we arrive in the toy department, first we look at Star Wars, then Marvel, then the car aisle. Followed by the bigger boys checking out the new Skylanders and the littlest looking at the Thomas the Tank trains.
I don’t know what it is, but these are some of of happiest and fun times together. Even if we don’t buy a thing (which hardly ever happens with all the cute new home decor items and Shaun White boys clothes), we always get a little bit happier when we go to Target.
